The Target Group(s)

1.     HIV/AIDS Orphans

2.     Other Orphans (Children affected by wars and disaster, unsupervised children, child laborers, child head households, etc.)

3.     The Widows (mainly HIV Positive)

4.     Children of the disadvantaged groups like the street grown up mothers of street children, the disabled, the insane and economically incapacitated vulnerable orphans.

5.      Elderly Grand parents, especially mothers.

The above groups are direct beneficiaries respectively depending on the projects the organization shall be running at a particular period of time.

THE LOCAL SORROUNDINGS
 
The communities live in slums, villages, children in schools, streets, semi-urban and urban centers.
Most of the habitats are in poor health conditions, congested, poor shelter; most widows do shoddy business activities including prostitution, girls are sexually abused, boys are in cheap labour, most of the young boys and old frustrated men are involved in drug abuse. There is a general illiteracy high level and thus ignorance due to lack of information regarding wellbeing.
 
Save Orphans Uganda calls upon Donor agencies, governments, religious organizations, and various institutions and individuals in and around the world to donate and offer grants in form of materials, funds and human resource which will be used to fund the fallowing activities
  • Creation of awareness in the fields of health, environmental and nature conservation,   effects of drug abuse, conflict resolution and disaster preparedness.
  • To create awareness about HIV/AIDS; offering free testing and counseling services to the community by creating AIDS information centers, public seminars, house to house outreaches, and institutional approaches.
  • Creating malaria awareness campaign and carrying out free malaria tests and treatment and mitigation of the same.
  • Offering scholarships and bursaries to the orphans undertaking various studies at various levels (Schools).
  • To offer vocational training in the fields of handcrafts, electronics, beauty and hair dressing, ICT, tailoring etc to the various categories for a self sustainable life.
  • To establish orphanage homes and rehabilitation centers.
  • Giving financial and other assistance to support any medical or scientific bodies, organizations and institutions or other charitable bodies, organizations and institutions in any way connected with the purposes of the organization or calculated to further its objectives.
  • To establish ICT centers.
  • To offer microfinance services to widows and other relevant victims.
  • To offer Guidance and counseling services to various victims and persons in the community.
